It is our policy at Foursquare Properties to actively and aggressively seek development opportunities for the creation of retail, office, residential, and mixed-use projects.

We primarily focus on the development of shopping centers, with strong national tenants to anchor the property. Using our longstanding relationships with an extensive roster of tenants, including the leading big-box stores and retail anchors in the industry, we strive to build projects that will become landmarks in the community. We study community interests with rigor, and tailor each development specifically for the market area.

While shopping centers may be the core of our portfolio, our mixed-use projects have included office and industrial space, as well as multi- and single-family homes. Each development is unique and the experience gained from years of developing every type of real estate has given us insight that we put to use within each project.

As we approach each project—be it a new opportunity or a redevelopment—we research and evaluate the needs of the community and prepare to redefine and create a classic development that will not only stand out at the present, but also remain at the forefront as time goes on.


Foursquare Properties is always seeking development sites as well as existing retail and mixed use centers to add to our portfolio. We principally pursue opportunities that have one or more of the following criteria:

Development Sites

  • Preferred Size: 10 acres – 500 acres
  • In-fill locations
  • Suburban and rural locations
  • Freeway frontage and exposure

Geographic Emphasis

Although Foursquare Properties will consider opportunities anywhere in the nation, we place our primary focus on the following markets:

  • Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington)
  • Mountain States (Colorado, Idaho, Utah)
  • West & Southwest (Arizona, California, Nevada)
