Russell W. Grosse

Chairman of the Board, Owner & Founder

A former attorney with a successful practice focusing on governmental relations and real estate, Mr. Grosse, a graduate of Claremont McKenna College and Stanford Law School, embarked on his first real estate development in 1969 with the subdivision of 1,600 acres in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This opportunity was the springboard to further developments in Arizona, California and Nevada, and a legacy that eventually became Foursquare Properties.

In the early 70’s, Mr. Grosse formed successful development and mortgage partnerships with a principal focus on residential opportunities in the Southwest. In 1974, he formed Russell W. Grosse Development Co., Inc.—an entity with an emphasis on commercial development. The next decade saw phenomenal growth in the company, with approximately 1.3 million square feet of commercial development. Between 1982 and 2003, the company cemented it stellar reputation in the industry with the construction of more than 3 million square feet of commercial space and 3,000 residential units throughout the West.

From 2003 to the present Foursquare has continued to grow, adding the 500 acre master-planned community of Jordan Landing, among others, to its extensive list of developments. Located in West Jordan, Utah, a suburb to Salt Lake City, Jordan Landing encompasses an approximately 1.8 million square foot shopping center including retail, entertainment and lifestyle components.

Today, Mr. Grosse lends his unrivaled experience and market insight to Foursquare Properties — enabling the company to continue a rich tradition of excellence and success in a bold new era.
